Delete your Vulcan365 Voice data
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
Vulcan365 Voice accounts are issued by your employer's administrator, not created by you. You can remove a device and everything it holds at any time. Records that belong to your organization are handled separately, and this page explains both.
1. Remove a device from inside the app
This is the fastest route and needs no support ticket.
- Open Vulcan365 Voice.
- Go to the About tab.
- Tap Remove this device and confirm.
The app contacts our servers first and only erases local data once the server confirms the device has been revoked. If the request cannot reach our servers, the app tells you so and changes nothing, so you can try again — it will not report a deletion that did not happen.
What this deletes immediately
- The device's access to your phone system is revoked. Its SIP extension is disabled and its access credential stops working.
- Its push registration is deleted, so it stops receiving call and message notifications.
- Message routing to that device is removed.
- Everything the app stored on the phone is erased: the SIP credential, the access credential, the installation identifier, your app settings, your recorded acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy, and any cached conversations.
After removal the app returns to setup, and a new setup code from your administrator is required to use it again.
2. If your phone is lost, broken, or you no longer have it
You do not need the device to have its access revoked. Either route works:
- Ask your administrator. This is usually fastest. An administrator can revoke any device from the Vulcan365 management console immediately, which has the same server-side effect as removing it from the app.
- Contact us. Email [email protected] or call 205-725-5510 with the extension or business phone number involved and a description of the device. Because a request to revoke a device affects an organization's phone service, we verify the request with an authorized administrator at that organization before acting. We will confirm to you when the device has been revoked.
Once revoked, a lost handset cannot register, cannot receive calls or messages, and cannot use its stored credential. Any data still on the handset stays there until the handset itself is wiped, so also use your phone platform's remote wipe if you have it.
3. What removing a device does not delete
Vulcan365 Voice is a business service. Your calls and text messages are records of the organization that holds the account, not of your handset. We state this plainly because it would be misleading to imply otherwise:
| Record | Deleted by removing your device? | Who can request deletion |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials, settings, and cached messages on the phone | Yes | You |
| Push registration | Yes | You |
| Text messages and attachments on the business number | No | Your organization's administrator |
| Call detail records | No | Your organization's administrator |
| Device activation history and policy acceptance | No | Your organization's administrator |
| Abuse reports you filed or that name you | No | Retained for safety; see below |
| Carrier records of messages sent or received | No | Held by the carrier under its own obligations |
We keep abuse reports and safety records even after a device is removed, because deleting them on request would let someone erase evidence of harassment by removing their own device. We keep telecommunications records for the period the organization's service agreement and applicable law require.
4. Organization-wide deletion
An administrator at the organization holding the account can request deletion of that organization's Vulcan365 Voice records by writing to [email protected]. We will confirm the scope, tell you what we are legally required to retain and for how long, and confirm in writing when the deletion is complete.
